Captain Tony took my father and I on a nice half-day tour across Smith Mountain Lake to catch some stripers. We were able to catch at least 5 stripers and a large mouth bass through trolling (we only kept 3 of the stripers due to two of them being really small). As such, Tony definitely knows his stuff. You won't go wrong when hiring this dude!

My son and I completed a 1/2 day fishing trip with Captain Tony at Reel Rock. The experience was fantastic!! Tony knows where the fish generally are located and is very detailed in investigating various areas around Smith Mountain lake where where they school. He is very attentive to customers needs, and ensures that that whenever a fish takes the bait, that you will have the highest likelihood of getting the fish in the boat! He takes great care in cleaning your catch after your trip so that you can enjoy the rewards from your trip. I highly recommend Captain Tony and Reel Rock for any SML fishing adventure. He is now my go to guide on SML!!

We just got back from an awesome morning of striper fishing with Tony! I booked a last-minute charter for our family, including our two kids (10 and 13), and it couldn’t have gone better. Tony knew all the best spots — we caught three fish in the first 45 minutes and ended up with nine total during our four-hour trip! His boat was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. He took care of every detail, from providing hand warmers and having a toilet onboard to cleaning and filleting the fish we wanted to keep. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!

Tony is the best fishing guide I’ve ever been associated with… Have used him for multiple trips. Most recent trip we caught more crappie in a half day then I’ve caught in a month back home… Very friendly and personable …. 5 out of 5 stars!

My kids and I had a blast fishing with the guidance of Captain Tony. It was super exhilarating reeling in these large striper. He was very patient and helpful with teaching my kids the correct techniques and assisting them with getting the fish into the boat. I’d highly recommend others plan a trip with Reel Rock Charters, my family is definitely looking forward to our next trip!

We knew we were in expert hands 2 minutes after the first line went in "fish on!" we ended up with our limit of stripers and some whopper LMB/SMB The boat is clean well equipped with some lively bait. I will be telling all my friends who are on the fence about fishing. "Call Capt Tony at Reel Rock Charters.

Fantastic experience! Capt Tony had us on fish all day plus gave us a tour of the lake and made sure we got what we wanted out of the trip. Great time and we caught some big striper! Highly recommend.

Captain Tony is amazing! He is so knowledgeable and my son age 13 soaked up all he taught him. I don’t really fish, but my friend and I had a great time watching Captain Tony and my son. He caught a ton of crappie thanks to Tony! Captain Tony is funny, personable, kind and just a good guy! We will definitely book him again, it was our first ever charter today AND IT WAS PERFECT!

Booked a 1/2 day crappie trip with captain Tony, trip was great fishing was a little slow but we stayed on crappie every spot was productive he knows his stuff! Would deff book with him and suggest you book with him as well! Fish on buddy!

We had an excellent time out on the water fishing for striper and crappie. Tony found the fish and kept us on them all morning. There is a lot of behinds the scene work put in to know where to start, gather bait, and prepare gear and Tony definitely puts the time in. If you’re looking for a charter to have the best odds of catching fish, gaining knowledge, and make memories then Reel Rock Charters is the place to book. 5 out 5 because 10 stars isn’t an option!!! We will be back on the water with him for sure!!

The greatest trip me and my family could have ever asked for. Not only did we catch over our limit, we also had a stress free day with 3 kids. Tony's patience and ability to keep on top of the fish, lines always baited and ready to roll, was beyond impressive. Will book another trip soon!

Captain today provided a wonderful fishing trip for my family and I. He is amazing with children and his warm, fun personality was a special treat. We have had many fishing trips over the years and Reel Rock Charters was by far the best experience by far. He is very organized and on top of things. We didnt want for anything. He tended to all our needs and was so helpful. We actually enjoyed ourselves so much that we cannot wait until Summer for another fishing trip. We have contacted him for a Winter trip as my little 5 yr old is begging to go back to catch those big fish. I've fished with a handful of guides all over the US and Tony has to be one of the best guides I've ever fished with. Not only is his equipment/boat top notch but he's willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get your fish. We had a wonderful time learning how to striper fish with Tony and will definitely be back.
